In collaboration with the Lebanese German University, an academic establishment renowned for its lengthy experience in the field of healthcare and health education, Gates announces it has started registration for the professional “Healthcare Quality Management” diploma program for the academic year 2014-2015. An outcome of the joint efforts of two expert bodies in the field of health, this 42-credit program provides candidates with a rich background in healthcare and quality management. It extends over six months and is offered every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rafic Hariri University Hospital The program is especially conceived to meet the needs of senior and middle managers, trainers, and professionals working in nursing, medical labs, nutrition, biomedical engineering, etc.. It develops specific skills and provides practical tools needed by all managers working in the field. An outcome of the joint efforts of two expert bodies in the field of health, this program provides leaders in primary healthcare with tools to move forward with building, planning, delivering, and monitoring effective, continuous, appropriate, and accessible primary healthcare services to all citizens. It brings in-depth expertise and capacity building of multidisciplinary teams in primary healthcare fields to demonstrate excellence in terms of management, quality, and safety. The 50-credit program also provides graduates with a rich background in primary healthcare management, quality management, community health promotion, and integration of mental health in primary healthcare.   • Gain up-to-date knowledge in the fields of management and safety with a focus on primary healthcare systems;
  • Assimilate the principles of all subjects and skills pertaining to quality management from inception to implementation in the context of primary healthcare;
  • Build up knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to act as leaders of primary healthcare fields;
  • Advance a sense of professional awareness, commitment as well as a sense of professional responsibility and accountability in primary health care.
