On May 3rd 2018, LGU conducted a three-hour workshop titled “How to Land a Job” in partnership with BTA|Besst Training Academy.
Ms. Georgina Ibrahim, the academy founder who is also a trainer and a recruiter, gave senior students from all faculties tips and techniques to follow in order to secure an interview. She explained the dos and don’ts of writing a proper CV and the preparation required once the job seeker secures an interview.
Issues such as “body language, attitude, and punctuality” were also discussed as well as the importance of social media use, such as LinkedIn, a platform that helps job seekers promote their profile and get in touch with potential employers.
