The Department of Physical Therapy, in collaboration with the Order of Physiotherapists in Lebanon (OPTL), organized on Saturday 24 February a scientific day entitled: « Liens somato-viscéraux et rachialgies communes rebelles de l’adulte » presented by Mr. Antoine Daher and sponsored by Gannage Wellness.

The event gathered a large number of participants, made up of students and professionals, in the presence of Professor Samir Matar, LGU President; Dr. Paul Makhlouf, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health; Dr. Tanios Abboud, President of OPTL and LGU alumnus; and six members of the Order of Physiotherapists in Lebanon.

Dr. Abboud encouraged attending professionals and students to enhance their knowledge in physical therapy by endorsing a lifelong learning process. He also valued the continuous efforts of the Department of Physical Therapy at LGU that organizes workshops and seminars on the latest innovations in the field. Mr. Antoine Daher shared with the audience his long professional experience, which has been strengthened by the latest scientific evidence in manual therapy, and revealed the secrets of certain maneuvers. Participants had the opportunity to individually practice specific maneuvers and techniques and representatives of Gannage Wellness introduced the latest technologies available to practitioners.

During lunch, participants had the opportunity to exchange their knowledge and share their experience in the field.

At the end of the day, all participants were delivered certificates of participation.
