LGU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the General Directorate of Civil Defense, represented by its Acting Director General, Brigadier General Imad Khreish. The MoU was signed on behalf of LGU by University President Prof. Samir Matar.
The LGU delegation present at the signing included Vice President Dr. Marianne Adaimi, Director of the Physical Therapy Department Dr. Charles Khalifeh, Head of the Performing and Audiovisual Arts Department Dr. Veronique Abou Ghazaleh, and Director of the Admissions Office Mr. Ziad Doueiri.
The MoU aims to expand collaboration between both institutions through special tuition benefits for Civil Defense members, joint training programs and workshops focused on public safety, as well as collaborative research and awareness initiatives that enhance preparedness and operational capacity.
