A Beacon of Excellence in Nursing Education

The Department of Nursing at LGU boasts a proud lineage, tracing its roots back to the groundbreaking program established within the Notre Dame du Liban Hospital at the ISPM Institute (Institut des Sciences Paramédicales) in the early 1970s. This pioneering initiative evolved into a Bachelor of Science (BS) program in 2007, integrating into the LGU Public Health Faculty and embarking on a new chapter of excellence in nursing education.

Since then, we've consistently graduated more than 1500 highly qualified nurses who have become leaders in the field, many of whom now hold esteemed positions in hospitals and healthcare institutions across Lebanon and internationally.

Professional nurses are the backbone of healthcare systems, playing a vital role in patient care and recovery. Moreover, the world, including Lebanon, is currently experiencing a significant shortage of nurses, and projections suggest this gap will continue to widen. This translates to excellent job prospects for qualified graduates.

The BS in Nursing program at LGU is recognized internationally. Graduates possess the knowledge, skills, and adaptability to thrive in diverse healthcare settings around the world. This international recognition opens doors for those who aspire to broaden their horizons and contribute their talents to a global healthcare community.
